BAIDOA – (Mareeg) – Deputy leader of the Islamist militias of Al-shabab, Sheikh Muktar Robow Abu-mansur has called today on Sunday for his group to redouble the war in Mogadishu against the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and the African Union peacekeeping forces, reports said.

Speaking to his supporters and group of Shabab in Baidoa city at a plain field, Sheikh Moktar Robow, Shabab’s deputy leader urged his militias to go to Mogadishu where he said holy war was going ahead.

The leader said that they should attend and strengthen the war in Mogadishu adding that the battle between his group and the TFG backed by the AMISOM [African Union Mission for Somalia] is close to end saying the victory would be on them ‘Shabab’.

Sheikh Moktar’s speech to ward inspiring young children and also militias of Shabab in Baidoa comes as a severe drought hit in some parts of south and central Somalia where people are dying of hunger and thirst.
