Iran media reports several thousand volunteers for Gaza “siege bust” mission

June 14, 2010

IntelTrends.

Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reports Monday that “several thousand Iranians have signed up to go to Gaza on a humanitarian rescue and siege-bust mission” quoting Mohammad-Ali Nurani, Deputy Chief of Iran-based Society in Defense of Palestinian Nation (SDPN) at a press conference held in the Quds News Agency office. The mission will set sail for Gaza in the near future.

As I reported yesterday in an IntelTrends Update, Iran’s Mehr News Agency (MNA) reports that Egypt will allow Iranian MPs to enter Gaza through the Rafah crossing, quoting Iranian MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi on Sunday.
