MIRANSHAH: The Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) vowed on Thursday they would “free Pakistan from the American clutches” and continue jihad for the enforcement of sharia law in the country. The message was released through pamphlets distributed in North Waziristan’s Miranshah town, marking six years of the first-ever coordinated attack by security forces on their hideout near Wana in South Waziristan on March 16, 2004. The IMU is led by Uzbek terrorist Tahir Yuldashev who survived a Frontier Corps attack in Kaloosha region of South Waziristan. The terrorists thwarted the attack and inflicted huge losses to the FC.
